Lab Report Analysis memo

Lab reports are detailed records of processes or experiments that have been undertaken. Lab  reports are essential tools in STEM-related fields, allowing for the documentation, evaluation, interpretation, and sharing of scientific study findings. They play an important role in increasing knowledge and fostering innovation in a variety of scientific fields, through the disbursement of their findings.In my short stint with lab report analysis, I’ve learned to appreciate their value as precise explanations of scientific techniques and experiments. Despite initial difficulties in obtaining lab results owing to a lack of resources on my original topic of major depressive disorder remedies, due to the limited CUNY resources regarding my original.  I persisted and adapted by shifting to a different issue; impacts of digital devices on students. Throughout my analysis , I relied on a well-organized framework to efficiently compare and contrast three similar lab findings.

Every area of the lab reports was carefully examined, highlighting the contrasts and similarities between the methods, findings,  conclusions, etc .  I was able to evaluate the success of the rhetorical techniques utilized in each report and evaluate the strengths and shortcomings by using effective communication tactics, like my structure.

This study provided me with a greater understanding of the subsections: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Reference, and Appendices,   described in the lab reports, which helped to advance my thesis and improved my ability to effectively express scientific concepts. Overall, despite the early hurdles, participating in lab report analysis was a good learning experience that expanded my awareness of scientific research  and their specific writing format.
